No Cell Phone? No Problemo!

Tired Of Offers Only Available to Cell Phones? Some Companies Offer Alternatives!

I do not have a cell phone so when companies require you to have a cell phone it can be frustrating, Just like the Bible says, "God will take care of you!" If you have faith as persistent as a mustard seed and ask, you may be lead to alternative means of doing things without a cell phone.

God willing I will update this post with alternatives to things requiring cell phone entries or contact info as I find them.

Tips for Finding Alternative Contest Entries

1. Pray. Prayer changes things.
2. Check the contest details. For example the Shoppers Drugmart Wish and Win Contest looks like it only allows entries via texting by Cell phone, but in the official rules it states:

EMAIL ENTRY: You may enter by sending an email with your name, full address including postal code and daytime phone number to SDMContest@sweepspros.com, with a subject title “SDM Holiday Wish and Win Contest 2020 Entry” (“Email entry”). Normal internet access and usage charges imposed by your online/carrier service may apply. Multiple individuals are not permitted to use the same email address. The Contest Administrator of this Contest will contact you by email should you be selected a potential winner. Limit one (1) Email entry per person during the Contest Period.

3. Complain - Yes, we are to do all things without complaining, but we are also told that we must let people know what they are doing wrong. If a company does not know how you feel, they cannot change their ways. There may be a whole lot of people who feel the same way.

What solutions has God lead you to today?

Remember to pray, 'cause things change that way.

We're all in this together, and I'm praying for you!

Microsoft PC Software Paying $250 Free!

Canadian MS-Dos or Microsoft Office Suites Purchasers Get $250 Back!

Did you purchase a computer with Microsoft Office programs installed? Did you purchase Microsoft Office stand alone programs? If you bought PC versions of Microsoft MS-DOS, Windows, Office, Word, and/or Excel between December 23, 1998, and March 11, 2010 (inclusive), you may be eligible for compensation from a class-action lawsuit.  Plus you don't need any proof of purchase.

Your Old Software Owes You Money

Wow! $250 for free without proof of purchase?  That's really tempting! Beware the spirit of greed!

If you think this class action lawsuit applies to you, you'll want to check it out. If you purchased more than one Microsoft Office product from the list, you will be able to ask for recompense for each one.

I saw this as an ad on the Weather Network and zipped over to check it out, but stopped partway through filling it out when I realized the software I bought was previous to that, or at least I thing=k so... hmmm... now I don't know. I'll need to sleep on this.

3 Tips for Safely Collecting AirMiles Points

AirMiles Points Collecting In a New World

Did you know you can collect and use aaaairMiles rewards for more than air travel? There are a number of ways to collect and redeem AirMiles from the comfort of your own home. For example, some people can order groceries from Metro and have a delivery service or friend pick them up.

Air Miles recently posted this reminder on their website to help people stay healthy while earning their air Miles points.

3 AirMiles Card Safety Tips

Zero Contact AirMiles Earning Tips

1. Tell the cashier your Airmiles Number
2. Hold up your AirMiles Card to be scanned.
3. Read your AirMiles Card number over the phone.

I would also add the following tips:

• Put your card inside 2 ziploc baggies, so you can pass it to the teller for scanning and put it back in the ziploc bag afterwards. Then sanitize it in the age when you get it home.
• Using the app on your phone? Be sure it is inside 2 ziploc baggies as well.
• Wear rubber gloves or mittens that can be washed.
• Maybe invest in a reacher to keep yourself at arm's length from the cashier?

Really though the best idea seems to be to read the number out on a hands-free telephone.

Stay safe!
