 Breast Feeding Best!

The World Health Organization just posted the following on LinkedIn :

Approximately 1 million children around the world die each year due to complications from #preterm birth, and survivors may face a lifetime of ill-health. To improve survival of low-birth or preterm babies, WHO recommends ‘kangaroo mother care’ or continuous skin-to-skin contact between mothers and babies, and exclusive breastfeeding.

Free Tim Hortons Gift Card with $30 Purchase

Tim Hortons Offers Free Digital Gift Card

Tim Horton's is one of my favourite franchises for a variety of reasons. I used to post video and picture reviews of Tim Horton's when I was able to get out and about. The staff was always friendly and courteous and would make me all kinds of my crazy coffee and hot chocolate concoctions. I called it "Starbucks without the bucks"!

What I liked best about Tim Horton's was their send a kid to camp program. My youngest daughter was very fortunate to be picked to go to a place I'd always wanted to go - Nova Scotia! I will always be very grateful for this.

Any who....that's not what you came here for ...

Did you see this fab Tim Horton's freebie yet? Hurry! It ends soon!

Green App Review - FoodHero

What is FoodHero?

FoodHero is an app that  connects food merchants to consumers to quickly sell surplus fresh food that would otherwise end up in the trash. Plus it will give you a $5 credit when you download it!

Foodhero was designed to help keep food out of landfills. Grocery stores and other food merchants often toss good food in landfills for many reasons. Sometimes it is nearing its expiry date, sometimes it isn’t “pretty” enough for the shelves, still other times they have extra products they aren’t able to sell in time.
At the same time, food prices are constantly on the rise and smart consumers are trying to reduce their grocery bills.

FoodHero brings food merchants and smart consumers together on their auction-style platform to help reduce global food waste, save money for consumers and businesses, and save the planet.

One grocery store that has signed onto Foodhero is IGA they have 200 stores signed up. Check it out on their website and get your free $5 today!FoodHero (iga.net)

Well, that's my 2 cents worth. What do you think?
